Jamie is president of Vollmer Inc., a public education advocacy firm. Once a harsh critic, Jamie has become an articulate champion of America’s public schools. Over the last thirty years, he has informed and energized tens of thousands of educators and community members at convocations, Inservice sessions, state and national conferences, foundation celebrations, and business events.

Using his personal transformation as evidence, he shows his audiences – particularly staff – that they have the power to change the way the people of their communities think and act toward their schools. In a time of rising expectations and rapid social change, Jamie provides the tools educators and their allies need to secure the Four Prerequisites of Progress:

Jamie’s presentations – including the provocative Blueberry Story and his powerful 5Ss – help educators and the public work together to remove obstacles to student achievement in and out of school. His unique background and entertaining style enable him to raise staff morale, educate the public, enlist more partners, overcome resistance to change, boost the percentage of “YES” votes, and set the stage for ever-increasing student success.

Jamie received a BA in political science from Penn State and the degree of Juris Doctor from Catholic University. He is happily married to his college sweetheart. They have three children and one precious granddaughter.
